Physical Geography Courses
Physical geographers study the Earth as a system, made up of four major subsystems- the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the lithosphere, and the biosphere. The patterns and processes that shape the planet are both natural and anthropogenic, and a better understanding of these complex and changing processes is important for solving many environmental and economic problems.A foundation in physical geography can be obtained through two introductory courses:
